Technical Meeting to Evaluate the Pilot Implementation of the OH-P4P Toolkit in Thai Nguyen Province

Purpose:

To pilot the application of the Local One Health Multi-Sectoral Coordination Mechanism Assessment Toolkit to assess the capacity and performance of inter-sectoral coordination in human, animal, and environmental health in Thai Nguyen province.

After listening to the presentation of the evaluation results by VOHU office staff, some delegates had a clearer understanding of the purpose and significance of organizing periodic annual evaluations to see the progress in inter-sectoral coordination in the prevention and control of zoonotic diseases in the locality, to identify areas that are still weak for improvement, and to promote strengths in coordination between sectors, agencies, and units in the locality.
