The One Health Network of Vietnamese Universities (VOHUN) consists of 17 Vietnamese Faculties / Universities training in Medicine, Public Health and Veterinary Medicine. VOHUN Coordination Office includes full-time officials at the Office and full-time officials at the main Coordinating schools including the School of Public Health (HSPH), Hanoi Medical University (HMU), and Vietnam Academy of Agriculture (VNUA). One of the top priority tasks of VOHUN is communication about One Health and connecting partners who have been implementing One Health in Vietnam.
VOHUN’s communication activities are carried out through 2 channels of information: One Health Newsletter and the VOHUN website (at http://vohun.org) in two versions in Vietnamese and English.
One health newsletter is a brief summary of VOHUN activities at home and abroad. Information includes research, training, communication about One Health by VOHUN or VOHUN’s partners. The first issue of One Health News published in the first quarter of 2012, then maintained its quarterly launch. The newsletter can be accessed via http://vohun.org/ban-tin.
VOHUN website is initially set up to: i) Introduce the functions, visions, tasks and goals of VOHUN to Government agencies, partners and other stakeholders in One Health field; ii) A tool to help VOHUN members update and share information on activities; iii) Contribute to communicating the concept of One Health and One Health approach to the community. All information about One Health in Vietnam and the One Health University network includes activities, workshops, training, news, strategic planning, presentations and materials of workshops, courses will be updated continuously on the website.
In order to expand VOHUN connectivity with domestic and international partners, we look forward to receiving information sharing from all partners, agencies and organizations about One Health activities; VOHUN wants to build really a scientific forum where scientists, experts in many fields, industries and many units exchange information and topics about One Health.
