Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) are indispensable processes that help improve project and organizational performance by tracking implementation and outputs systematically and measuring the effectiveness of programs. Within the framework of One Health Workforce-Next Generation project, the National Coordinating Office of Vietnam One Health University Network (VOHUN NCO) is leading to facilitate the MEL strategy to all university members. On 29 July 2021, VOHUN NCO, in collaboration with experts from SEAOHUN Secretariat and Global team, organized the Preparatory Meeting – Training of trainers on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for VOHUN task force members. The objective of this meeting was (i) introducing the MEL strategy, key MEL indicator of OHW-NG project; (ii) introducing some basic concepts of Knowledge Management (KM) and some tools of KM, and (iii) discussing on contents and methods of the Training of trainers (TOT) on MEL for VOHUN task force members, which is scheduled to be organized in September 2021.
Participating in the meeting was the representatives from 9 university members, who are expected to be the facilitators of the MEL TOT in Sep 2021. The training on MEL will provide the key faculties adequate skills to collect OHW-NG project’s indicators with high quality, which support for reporting purpose and promoting our network and member universities to potential partners. After discussion, all of participants have agreed on the tentative agenda and time for the main TOT course. All participants are looking forward to the main virtual MEL TOT which will be happened in September 2021.
